• The European Commission launched two new legal proceedings against the UK over its plans to unilaterally change trading, tax and governance arrangements of the post-Brexit deal for Northern Ireland. The UK says that the 2019 treaty —initially agreed upon by both sides— has disrupted trade and power-sharing in Northern Ireland, but the EU says that overriding parts of the deal would break international law.
